Despite troubled pasts in some parts of the region and ongoing political tension in some areas, South East Asia truly is a gem of a place to visit and should certainly be on the bucket list of every traveller! Unlike many Western regions of the world, every country in this fairly small corner of Asia is very unique and huge differences can be seen even by crossing a single border.
